The Miami Dolphins made the biggest splash in the free agency pool as they scooped up defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh from the Detroit Lions who will now anchor one of the best defensive lines in the NFL and perhaps give the team the extra boost to unseat the Patriots in the AFC East. Miami continues to improve at the same rate that quarterback Ryan Tannehill does to nobody's surprise and now with a flock of receiving options and a ground game led by Lamar Miller this could be the season that Miami makes the jump into the league's elite or at the very least into an AFC contender. Miami will lean on newcomers Jordan Cameron and Devante Parker as well as Jarvis Landry and if Tannehill can keep everyone happy than the Dolphins should be in good shape and should have no trouble outscoring the Skins in this season opener.
Washington is an absolute mess. The Robert Griffin saga looks as though it has come to an end as Kirk Cousins will be the opening day starter but the troubles continue off the field and in the front office as the Skins can't seem to escape the tabloids and that could take its toll on the players both on and off the field. The sad part is is that the Skins aren't a bad football team as they have some nice pieces in place as Desean Jackson and Alfred Morris are two huge threats with the ball and defensively they are among the most athletic in the game but it could be all for not if they can't find a way to stay focused and at home against a team with huge expectations this season it could be a tough start for the DC crew. The line here at the moment is basically at a pick em with some books having the Phins favoured by a point but as we approach game time things could change and in the end I think Miami gets a 5-6 point win at the very least.
