I don’t know about you, but I’d like to avoid gameclock-gate as much as possible this morning, so we’re going to get right down to business. The top ten worst injuries from Week 5 in the NFL are featured below. You already know who’s in the No. 1 spot.

Top Ten Worst 2015 NFL Week 5 Injuries

USA TODAY Sports

1. It has been confirmed that Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles suffered a season-ending ACL tear during Sunday’s one-point loss to the Chicago Bears. Losing Charles, who had 364 rushing yards and 177 receiving yards so far this season, will be a massive hit to an offense that heavily relies on his abilities. The duo of Charcandrick West and Knile Davis will attempt to fill his cleats.

2. Denver Broncos LB DeMarcus Ware was carted off the field during the first half of Sunday’s win over the Oakland Raiders. It was later stated that Ware had a back injury. Though he didn’t return to the game, all signs point to a quick return for Ware, who stated after the game that his back “locked up” when he stumbled on the turf at the Black Hole. Update: It has just been confirmed that the Broncos will be without Ware during their Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns.

3. The New York Giants won a thriller over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, but they had a couple of scary moments in the process. Phenom WR Odell Beckham Jr. left the game with a hamstring injury on the same leg that kept him sidelined for the first four weeks of his rookie year. OBJ did return to the field, but head coach Tom Coughlin has stated he isn’t expected to be a full participant in practice this week. Reasonable considering this isn’t the first time this muscle has been tweaked.

4. Another member of the New York Giants receiving corps, WR Rueben Randle, also exited Sunday’s win with a hamstring issue. Randle did not return to action. There’s been no official word on his status for Week 6’s Monday night contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, though head coach Tom Coughlin did say he was hoping Randle could practice on a limited basis throughout the week.

5. Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden left Sunday’s overtime time against the Baltimore Ravens to be evaluated for a concussion. Haden did not return to action and will have to pass the league’s standard concussion protocol in order to be ruled active for Week 6’s game against the Denver Broncos.

6. The last thing the struggling Baltimore Ravens need is more injuries. With Terrell Suggs already out for the year, OLB Elvis Dumervil has become an every-down player. Dumervil exited Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns with a groin injury. Dumervil was ruled out for the game, but his status for Week 6 is currently known.

7. St. Louis Rams DE Chris Long exited Sunday’s loss to the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury. Fortunately, an MRI has confirmed that Long avoided ligament damage. The playmaker is expected to miss one to two weeks while he recuperates.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars RB TJ Yeldon left Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a groin issue. Yeldon did not return to the field, but reportedly looked fine in the locker room following the game and stated his injury was not serious. The team has not yet updated Yeldon’s status for Week 6.

9. The Detroit Lions’ long list of woes continued with the exit of LB DeAndre Levy from his season debut on Sunday. Levy has been suffering from a hip injury. Following the game, head coach Jim Caldwell said the team is looking into placing Levy on injured reserve for the remainder of the year.

10. New England Patriots LB Dont'a Hightower left Sunday’s blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys when he sustained a rib injury. Hightower was not seen in the locker room following the game and his status for Week 6’s Sunday night game against the Indianapolis Colts has not yet been released.
