Week 6 in the NFL is off and running, and we’ve got lots more football coming in a couple of days. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there in the league.

Falcons-Saints Wrap-Up: Pretty much everyone figured the Falcons would keep rolling against the hapless Saints last night on “Thursday Night Football,” but New Orleans had other plans.
The Saints cruised to a 31-21 victory on the strength of Drew Brees’ 312 yards and Ben Watson’s 10 receptions for 127 yards and a TD.
The defense also came up big here, forcing three fumbles with a special teams TD (blocked punt).

It looks like the Broncos’ DeMarcus Ware is going to be missing Week 6 against Cleveland. He’s fighting a back injury.
Shaq Barrett will likely end up starting at the OLB slot.

The Steelers’ Mike Pouncey will likely be missing the rest of the season thanks to his leg/ankle issues.
This is a big deal for Pittsburgh, who had been hoping to get Pouncey back around Week 12. Cody Wallace hasn’t done so well as a fill-in.

Demaryius Thomas missed out on the Broncos practices yesterday and Wednesday due to his neck injury, but the good news is that the team expects him to play.

The Cowboys definitely need a spark on offense, and they could get it from RB Christine Michael after the team’s bye week.
The coaching staff has made some comments over the last few days indicating they’re looking to utilize Michael quite a bit more from now on and want to see what he can do on the field. Dallas definitely needs some additional playmakers with all the injuiries and slow performances they’ve gotten recently.

According to a report from yesterday, the Ravens are expecting RB Justin Forsett to be able to take the field for Sunday’s game against San Francisco.
Forsett hasn’t practiced all week, but if he’s able to get out there today it’ll be a very good sign. They’re currently hurting pretty badly for RB depth.
