NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 7 Schedule and More
October 22, 2015
Week 7 in the NFL is set to get underway in just a matter of hours, so there’s lots to talk about between now and then. Let’s visit with a few of the notable headlines from around the league.
The Falcons’ Roddy White was limited in yesterday’s practice due to a foot injury.
This is a new one, so Falcons fans will want to keep an eye on him today and tomorrow.

The Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch is probable for tonight’s game against the 49ers.
He’s still getting over his hamstring injury, but appears good to go.
Here are a few notes from the Lions’ practice yesterday: TE Brandon Pettigrew was out of action due to a knee and elbow issue. Eric Ebron, however, was able to practice in a limited capacity. Ebron will likely be able to play on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Joique Bell got in a full practice (ankle) while Theo Riddick was limited due to his groin injury.
Titans QB Marcus Mariota’s status for Sunday is still up in the air, and the team is being pretty coy about updates.
We’d imagine the Titans will be as cautious as possible with their first-round pick, and will probably err on the side of keeping him out this week against the Falcons.
The Chargers’ Stevie Johnson was able to get back to practice yesterday. That’s a great sign for him, as he’s been out of action since his hamstring injury back in Week 4.
Jags WR Allen Robinson was able to practice in a limited capacity yesterday, while RB T.J. Yeldon had to sit out due to his groin issue.
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins missed out on yesterday’s practice due to his shoulder injury. He’s currently day-to-day, and may have to sit out another week before he’s fully healthy.
The Jets have a huge AFC East matchup on Sunday against the Patriots, and they may have to do it without backup RB Bilal Powell. He was out of practice yesterday with his ankle injury.
Also of note, RB Stevan Ridley came back to practice yesterday after being on the PUP list all of this season so far. The team has a three-week window to activate him or shut him down.
