NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 10 Schedule and More
November 13, 2015
Week 10 in the NFL is officially underway, now that the Bills and Jets are all finished up. While we’re waiting on Sunday’s games, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there in our daily look at the headlines.
Bills-Jets Wrap-Up: Rex Ryan bagged a win in his return to MetLife Stadium last night on “Thursday Night Football” as the Bills beat the Jets 22-17.
This was a game centered on defense/special teams and clock control; New York coughed up four turnovers and the Bills’ LeSean McCoy capitalized with 19 rushes for 112 yards.
The Jets’ Ryan Fitzpatrick aggravated his thumb injury during the game (he was 15-of-34 overall for 193 yards, two touchdowns and two picks); he’s scheduled to get corrective surgery today. By most indications, he should be okay for the Week 11 road game in Houston, but we’ll see how things go.

Good news for Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater so far this week. After suffering a scary hit and concussion against the Rams this past weekend, he’s been practicing on a limited basis and coach Mike Zimmer says there’s “no doubt” Bridgewater will be able to start against the Raiders.
We’ll have to wait a couple of days to see if Bridgewater truly is okay, but all signs here indicate a quick bounce-back.
Calvin Johnson was limited at yesterday’s practice. He’s still dealing with an ankle injury coming out of the bye.
Limited or not, Johnson will most likely be playing against the Packers this week, and the team will need him out there. He’s averaged 112.3 receiving yards per game in his past three appearances.
The Broncos have at least a couple of notable injury concerns heading into Week 10. First off, there’s QB Peyton Manning. He was not able to practice on Wednesday and was limited during yesterday’s session due to his foot injury. The team seems mildly concerned, but at this point there’s no reason to think Manning might sit out against the Chiefs.
Then there’s WR Emmanuel Sanders. He’s been fighting off an ankle injury and the coaching staff seems to believe that he’ll be ready to go for Sunday. It’ll be a nice matchup for him if he can get healthy enough to play.
