The Packers lost their third straight contest over the weekend and put a dent into a lot of survivor hopes as the biggest favourite on the board came up short. We are back for those who are still around though for this week's top plays, pool breakers, and pool makers.

Week 11 NFL Survivor Pool Picks

Carolina Panthers vs Washington Redskins

I am late to the party with the Carolina Panthers but they continue to win football games and should remain undefeated in this spot against the Redskins. Carolina has done it with a potent defense and Cam Newton running the show on offense and returning home here to play an overrated Washington side doesn't look pretty. The Skins put up numbers in bunches last week but it was against the New Orleans Saints and now they travel to the road to face a much stiffer task and won't have nearly as much success moving the ball. The Panthers stay undefeated here.

Atlanta Falcons vs Indianapolis Colts

The Falcons are coming off their bye week and as a reward they get an Andrew Luck-less Colts side with a full week of preparation and are playing at home. The Falcons need to keep winning if they're going to sneak into the playoffs as the division title looks far fetched so a wild card berth is their only hope. Atlanta always plays well at home with Matty Ice under center and with Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman getting last week to recover I think they will have a field day here. Matt Hasselbeck isn't terrible but he certainly isn't a savior and the Colts are going to struggle here as Atlanta should cruise to victory.

Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers

The Seahawks playing at home is almost always a sure bet and add in the fact they are playing their bitter rivals from San Francisco and they need a victory to move closer to the playoffs. Seattle hasn't been great throughout the course of the season but they still have one of the league's better defenses and when Russell Wilson is on he certainly makes a difference and with the 12's playing a factor I don't see Blaine Gabbert having a very productive day. Seattle has question marks of their own but in this situation the defense should do more than enough to get the Seahawks a win.

Pool Breakers

Denver Broncos at Chicago Bears

Yes. I know it is early to press the panic button if you're the Denver Broncos and I do realize this is the Chicago Bears we are talking about. However, with Brock Osweiler coming in to replace Peyton Manning it is a very tough spot to start on the road at Soldier Field. The Bears haven't had a strong defense this year and Jay Cutler is prone to mistakes but they have looked very good over the last few weeks and are coming off a big time road win against the St. Louis Rams who aren't a push over by any means. Denver also hasn't been able to get the ground game going as neither CJ Anderson nor Ronnie Hillman have seized the starter's job and things are a complete mess on the offensive side of the ball right now. I don't think the Broncos will lose but I don't have a ton of confidence in them right now to lock them in as a survivor pick.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles and Bucs meet up in Philly in a game that features another back up quarterback joining the mix as Mark Sanchez will start in place of the injured Sam Bradford for the Eagles. Sanchez actually played very well last season for the Eagles but this is a bit of a different team in front of him as he no longer has Lesean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin to work with and promising wide out Jordan Matthews has had a down year so it'll be interesting to see how the Eagles fare with him under center. Tampa is usually a circle type of game as they have been doormats for the last few seasons but Jameis Winston appears to be finding his groove and the Bucs are coming off a victory against the Cowboys and could shock some people down the stretch. This is one I'm staying away from.

Pool Makers

New York Jets at Houston Texans

The Jets are coming off their bye week and need to get back in the win column in a big way as some other suitors in the AFC are making a push towards the playoffs. New York is built on the strength of their run game and if Chris Ivory is healthy he is one of the league's best and with him, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brandon Marshall, and Eric Decker leading the offense and Darelle Revis manning the defense the Jets are in a good position to bounce back. Houston is coming off a victory over the Bengals but they aren't in prime time here and I think their offense will struggle to get going under TJ Yates against a sound Jets secondary. New York is a safe pick without using up one of the elite core.
