Raiders vs. Chargers - 12/24/15 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Oakland Raiders look to win out and finish .500 for the first time since the 2011 season. Derek Carr is completing 61 percent of his passes for 3,589 yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Carr has six touchdown passes in his last three games. Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree have combined for 1,889 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns while Seth Roberts has 27 receptions. The Oakland Raiders ground game is averaging 93.1 yards per contest, and Latavius Murray leads the way with 956 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, Oakland is allowing 25.4 points and 366.9 yards per game. Malcolm Smith leads the Raiders with 103 tackles, Khalil Mack has 15 sacks and David Amerson has 23 pass deflections. Mario Edwards, Austin Howard and Keith McGillare questionable.

The Chargers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games overall. The Raiders are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. AFC and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. The underdog is 12-1 ATS in their last 13 meetings.

The Chargers just had their emotional victory last week against the Dolphins in likely their last game in San Diego. It’s going to be tough to play a solid Oakland team on short rest, a young team that’s looking to prove that it's no longer the same Raiders. Even with the playoffs out of reach now, the Raiders are still playing hard and are looking to build something heading into next season. Not to mention the Chargers have lost six of their last seven road games.

I’ll take Oakland by a touchdown.
