We’ve still got a few more days to wait before the NFL gets going on the final week of the 2015 regular season. In the meantime, there’s plenty to check out in the headlines, so let’s take our daily look and see what’s going on out there.

Let’s do our daily Colts QB check, since that situation is such a hot mess that it’s tough to look away. Yesterday in practice, Josh Freeman and Ryan Lindley got most of the reps, which holds solid the indication that the team will have to rely on one of them for Week 17 against the Titans.
It’s desperation mode for Indy, who is dealing with injuries to their three top guys at quarterback. This Sunday’s game should be difficult to watch.

The Giants’ Jason Pierre-Paul will reportedly go under the knife in the off-season in a follow-up surgery that will help improve the grip in his injured hand.
Pierre-Paul will be hitting the free agent market, and it’s hard telling what type of price he’ll command. He’s been able to rack up 34 pressures thus far, but has just one sack in seven games.

Andre Ellington was able to put in a limited practice yesterday. He should be good to go for Week 17 as David Johnson’s change-of-pace backup.
As for Michael Floyd, he did not practice yesterday due to his knee issue. As of right now, he’s still expected to play.

Eddie Lacy was limited for the Packers in practice yesterday due to his rib injury. He should be just fine for Sunday’s winner-take-all NFC North matchup with the Vikings.

Let’s check in on a few of the Patriots receivers. Brandon LaFell, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman were each limited in yesterday’s practice session.
LaFell seems to be on track to play in spite of his foot injury. Amendola practiced last week on a limited basis, but was held out of game action. He and Edelman (foot) seem to be coin-flip odds as of right now, so we’ll have to wait and see what the always-secretive Pats do.
