Tomorrow’s the big day. That means the Super Bowl is coming up in just a matter of hours. Let’s sift through some of the many headlines in our daily wrap-up and see what’s going on out there.

Troubled Cleveland QB Johnny Manziel’s troubles continue to mount. Police in Dallas have launched a criminal investigation into his alleged domestic violence incident.
There were initially no charges for this latest allegation, but a complaint was filed yesterday and police are now looking into it. Manziel’s football career is the least of his worries. He needs to get his life straightened out.

In other troubled Browns player news, WR Josh Gordon is confident that the league will reinstate him this off-season. He’s applied to be allowed back on the field after his latest suspension.
The NFL has two months to make a ruling on Gordon, so we’ll know what’s going on with him before the draft. To his credit, he’s kept his name out of the news while he’s been gone. The Browns will likely give him one more chance if he returns.

The Jaguars’ Allen Hurns provided an update on his status this week. He is expecting to get back to running in about a month.
Hurns is coming off sports hernia surgery a couple of weeks ago. He should be okay for the OTA sessions.

You like that. Kirk Cousins and the Redskins have begun contract talks on a new deal, according to team brass.
Sources close to the Redskins expect a deal similar to what Alex Smith is getting in KC. If an agreement can’t be reached, a franchise tag would cost just under $20 million this year.
