BC Lions vs. Montreal Alouettes CFL Pick, Odds, Prediction - 8/4/16

USA TODAY Sports

The Montreal Alouettes could use another win after a subpar 2-3 start to the season. Kevin Glenn is completing 72.8 percent of his passes for 1,175 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions. Glenn has thrown four touchdowns in his last three games. Duron Carter and Nik Lewis have combined for more than 700 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Brandon Rutley has 14 receptions. The Montreal Alouettes ground game is averaging 76.2 yards per contest, and Rutley leads the way with 127 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Montreal is allowing 21.2 points and 379.8 yards per game. Bear Woods leads the Alouettes with 34 tackles, John Bowman has four sacks and Chip Cox has one interception.

The Lions are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Alouettes are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Lions are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Montreal and 24-9 ATS in their last 33 meetings overall.

These two teams have split the last 10 meetings and the home team has won eight of those contests. The Alouettes also have to feel good about themselves after beating the hell out of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I'll gladly take the home team and the free field goal.
