The Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons end their preseason Thursday night at Georgia Dome.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have a quick turnaround after beating the Bengals late Sunday night. In a 26-21 victory, Chad Henne led the way with 75 passing yards and one touchdown. Henne will once again get the bulk of the reps with the starters out. Neal Sterling and Tony Washington combined for 56 receiving yards and one touchdown while Allen Hurns had two receptions. The Jacksonville Jaguars ground game averaged 4.1 yards per carry and Joe Banyard led the charge with 54 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, Telvin Smith led the Jaguars with six tackles, Sen'Derrick Marks had one sack and Hayes Pullard III had one pass deflection.

The Atlanta Falcons can finish the preseason with a solid 3-1 record with a win here. In a 17-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins, Matt Ryan led the way with 129 passing yards and one interception. Backup Matt Schaub is likely going to get the bulk of the reps with the starters out. Aldrick Robinson and Austin Hooper combined for 120 receiving yards on eight catches while Nick Williams had three receptions. The Atlanta Falcons ground game averaged 2.1 yards per carry and Brandon Wilds led the charge with 11 yards on three carries. Defensively, Philip Wheeler led the Falcons with eight tackles, Sean Weatherspoon had two tackles for loss and Robert Alford had one pass deflection.
The Jaguars are 9-23 ATS in their last 32 games in September and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Jaguars are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meetings.
I don't like the fact the Jags have such a quick turnaround and have to play on the road. I do like the fact the Falcons have an experienced backup quarterback and even Schaub should be able to carve up a backup defense. Have to like the Falcons here and the cheap line.
