The Seattle Seahawks look to bounce back from a brutal loss to the Los Angeles Rams and get above a .500 record. Russell Wilson is completing 62.8 percent of his passes for 512 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Wilson has 14 touchdown passes in his last six regular season games. Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin have combined for 228 receiving yards and one touchdown while Jermaine Kearse has seven receptions. Defensively, Seattle is allowing 9.5 points and 248.5 yards per game. K.J. Wright leads the Seahawks with 20 tackles, Michael Bennett has two sacks and DeShawn Shead has two pass deflections.
The 49ers are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. NFC West and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. The Seahawks are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games in Week 3 and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The 49ers are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Seattle and 0-8-1 ATS in their last 9 meetings overall.
I'm no fan of the 49ers and actually thought they would be one of the worst teams in the league. While that still may be the case, they waxed the Rams opening week and hung around with the Panthers in a game that was closer than the score. Meanwhile, the Seahawks lost to the Rams and barely beat the Miami Dolphins opening week. Seattle's offense is struggling big time and the offensive line is downright awful. Yes, the Seahawks are tough to beat or even compete with at home, but we've seen nothing in two weeks that makes them worthy of such chalk.
Give me the 49ers and the points.
