Coming up on Sunday, November 13 from Lincoln Financial Field in Week 10 NFL action, we’ve got an NFC matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Falcons are coming into this game with a 6-3 record on the season, and they’re well-rested after a Thursday win 43-28 over the Buccaneers. In that game, Falcons QB Matt Ryan dazzled with a 25-of-34 line for 344 yards and four touchdowns, while Devonta Freeman held things down on the ground with 77 yards on 17 carries. Julio Jones was the top Atlanta receiver as usual with eight receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown.

USA TODAY Sports

So far this season, Ryan is 218-of-313 for 2980 yards and 23 touchdowns, while Freeman leads the Atlanta rush on 113 attempts for 620 yards and three scores. Jones is tops in the receiving game with his 51 receptions for 970 yards and five touchdowns.

Over on the Eagles’ side, they’re skidding a bit with a 4-4 record so far, and just finished up with a 28-23 loss to the Giants this past Sunday. For his part in that matchup, Eagles QB Carson Wentz went 27-of-47 for 364 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions, while Darren Sproles led a pretty lame running game with 13 carries for 57 yards. Zach Ertz was the high man in receiving for Philly on his eight catches for 97 yards.

On the year thus far, Wentz is 177-of-275 for 1890 yards and a 9:5 TD:INT mark, while Ryan Mathews leads the Eagles in rushing with 76 attempts for 287 yards and five touchdowns. Jordan Matthews is Philadelphia’s lead receiver with 42 catches for 507 yards and three TDs.

The Falcons are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up win, and 6-0 ATS in their last six road games. Atlanta is also 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win, and 4-1 ATS in their last five versus the NFC.

As for the Eagles, they’re 4-1 ATS in their last five games on grass, and 10-21-1 ATS versus a team with a winning record. Philadelphia is also 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall, and 1-4 ATS in their last five games versus the NFC.

The Eagles are skidding into this matchup as losers of four out of five games, and in that span they haven’t scored more than 23 points. As for the Falcons, they’re considered one of the more potent teams in the NFC, winning six of their last eight games and scoring at least 30 points six times in that span. I like Atlanta to continue their offensive onslaught here and leave the Eagles in the dust. I’ll take the Falcons to win.
