The New Orleans Saints look to keep rolling in the NFC South as they face off against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
The Saints suffered one of the hardest losses of the season last weekend as they had the Denver Broncos on the ropes with a pending extra point putting them in the lead with under two minutes to play but then disaster struck. The Broncos busted through and blocked the extra point and took it to the house for the game winning two point conversion in what was a very bizarre finish to an otherwise great game and one that has to give the Saints some confidence regardless of the result. They will look for a big effort on the road against a Panthers team that has struggled this season and blew a 17-point lead against the Chiefs last weekend.

The Panthers can’t seem to find a way to win and their disaster season continued at home against Kansas City last weekend as they worked up a big lead only to blow it in the second half. Carolina will be out for a big rebound though at home in prime time against their division rivals who have playoff aspirations in the NFC but will need a pivotal divisional road win to catapult them into the wild card hunt. Cam Newton and Drew Brees are slated for a big evening as both defenses have struggled against the pass and the over looks like a very enticing play here.
The Saints are 6-0 ATS in their last six road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six against the NFC while the Panthers are 1-4 ATS in their last five against the NFC South and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games. Carolina does play well at home but this season is all out of whack and with the Saints playing the better football right now I think they cover and have a chance to win outright.
