The San Diego Chargers will look to build on their lead in the AFC West with a divisional victory over one of the division's bottom feeders as the Broncos look to improve on their 1-3 standing with a home field win after being dismantled by the green bay Packers last week that saw Aaron Rodgers continue to build his legacy and establishing himself as one of the league;'s very best. The Chargers meanwhile won their second straight and third of the season by defeating the Miami Dolphins 26-16 in what was an effort more so of the Dolphins being a poor team than the Chargers being a team to watch out for.

San Diego has a history of starting out of the gates slow and than picking up steam in the second half of the season peaking around playoff time and then ultimately falling short when it matters. They have followed suit in terms of their expectations and explosivity this season but the scary thing for the Chargers is that they're winning the game they have historically lost and if not for a better fate against New England the chargers could very well be 4-0. at the same time however their 3 wins have come against Minnesota, Kansas City ad Miami whose collective record is 1-11 and with Denver on tap it extends further to 2-14 for a win loss indicator against their opponents they have beaten (assuming they hold on against Denver). Phillip Rivers has had a down year in terms of offensive production after breaking out as a fantasy stud last season but Vincent Jackson has enjoyed a bounce back season and is once again the go to option in San Diego. If the Chargers can get their offense rolling and their defense can take advantage of a broncos offense filled with controversy than it could be a quick in and out for the Chargers and thy could pad their division lead to 2-games by the end of the weekend.

The Broncos have struggled mightily this season and it could go from bad to worse if kyle Orton continues to struggle and face the heat from the Broncos fans. Unfortunately Orton is the best option at quarterback for Denver and bringing Tebow in at this point in the season says to me the broncos have given up already and are playing for a draft pick instead of a division title. in the very suspect AFC West the Broncos are never out of contention and if they can get a big win here it could right the ship in the Mile High City and hopefully fans can find it in them to give Orton another shot to lead them to the promised land. The Chargers are 3-1 but haven't blown anyone out of the water and in a divisional game you have to expect the game to be a little closer and land within a touchdown. Eric Decker has been a nice surprise for the Broncos and Brandon Lloyd appears to be finding his stride again which could make for a very interesting match up against San Diego on Sunday. Denver has been awful defensively but with a hyped up home crowd against a  division rival I expect them to show up here and could very well pull of the upset victory as these teams always play each other really close to the vest. Take Denver and the points and maybe even a shot on the money line.
