The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Nashville Predators meet in NHL action from the Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will look to build on a 3-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in their last game. Auston Matthews leads the Buds in scoring with 77 points including a team-high 45 goals while Mitch Marner has 65 points with 24 goals and 41 assists and John Tavares has 58 points with 20 goals and 38 apples. William Nylander’s also got 57 points with 23 goals and 34 assists. Morgan Rielly has a team-high 42 assists on the year. Jack Campbell’s made the bulk of the starts in goal for Toronto, going 24-9-4 with a 2.65 GAA and a .914 save percentage this season.

The Nashville Predators will try to bounce back after a 5-4 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers in their last game. Roman Josi leads the Predators with 72 points, including 17 goals and 55 helpers while Mikael Granlund has 45 points with 36 assists. Matt Duchene also has 61 points with 31 goals and 30 assists and Ryan Johansen has 45 points with 29 assists. Filip Forsberg’s also added 32 goals and the aforementioned Josi has a team-high +20 plus/minus rating. Juuse Saros has seen the bulk of the action in goal for Nashville, going 29-19-3 with a 2.46 GAA and a .923 save percentage this season.

Toronto is 37-17 in their last 54 games overall and 17-7 in their last 24 games as a road favorite while the over is 12-3-1 in their last 16 games as a road favorite. Nashville is 5-2 in their last 7 games overall and 17-8 in their last 25 home games while the under is 6-1 in their last 7 home games.

I get why you could look at Nashville as a home dog here, but the Preds continue to be a very streaky team and have had issues defensively in spots and that’s not good news against a Leafs team that’s getting Auston Matthews back for this game and is hungry to make a statement after a rough run of games the last couple of weeks. The price isn’t all that bad on Toronto either, so give me the Leafs in this one.
