The Tampa Bay Lightning host the Los Angeles Kings in NHL action from Amalie Arena on Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Kings come into this one looking to add to a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild in their last game. Anze Kopitar leads the Kings in scoring with 24 points including a team-high 16 assists and 8 goals while Alex Iafallo has 9 goals, logging 16 points while Adrian Kempe’s point total is also at 16 with a team-high 11 goals of his own. Jonathan Quick’s gone 7-5-3 with a 2.04 GAA and a .933 save percentage this season between the pipes for the Kings while Cal Petersen’s gone 5-5-1 with a 3.10 GAA and an .893 save percentage.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss to Ottawa in their last game. Steven Stamkos leads the Lightning in scoring with 28 points including a team-high 12 goals along with 16 assists while Victor Hedman also has 27 points with a team-high 22 assists as well this season. Alex Killorn has 21 points with 8 goals and 13 assists while Hedman also has a team-high +12 plus/minus rating as well for the Bolts this season. Andrei Vaslievskiy has seen the bulk of the workload between the pipes for Tampa Bay this season, posting a record of 14-4-3 with a 2.17 GAA and a .927 save percentage on the year.

Los Angeles is 25-54 in their last 79 games as a road underdog and 7-3 in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 4-0-1 in their last 5 games overall. Tampa Bay is 36-15 in their last 51 games against the Pacific division and 38-15 in their last 53 home games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a favorite.

I get why you’d look the way of the Kings here with the plus money, but the reality is that the Kings are back to struggling and looking like the rebuilding team that many expected they’d see coming into the year. Tampa Bay stumbled against Ottawa but has been picking up steam for the most part as of late and I think they get back on track with a win on the -1.5 puck line here.
