It's always funny when Ed Snider comes out and makes comments about how he doesn't understand what's wrong with his hockey club. Philadelphia can never seem to figure it out that you can't build a winning hockey team by throwing money at offense constantly. The strange part about it is that their odd goaltending tandem of Steve Mason and Ray Emery has actually been pretty good, and the even odder move of adding Mark Streit hasn't hurt them all that much either. For whatever reason this Flyers club can't remember how to score, and that's something that no one saw coming. Now that Craig Berube wants them to focus on the defensive side of the puck it's hard to see how things get better for them. They look lost in the offensive zone and it's amazing the complete 180 they've done this year. Philadelphia is tied for last in the NHL with an average of 1.63 goals per game. Ottawa is seventh in the league and they've gotten outstanding goaltending from Robin Lehner in Craig Anderson's absence. Even with Anderson back in the fold it's hard to justifying not giving Lehner more starts. He's a big body who takes up a lot of the net and also is extremely agile. Unless the Flyers figuing out their scoring woes quickly they're going to have issues here.
