The Line: Minnesota Wild -173 / Winnipeg Jets +157 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds

For the Winnipeg Jets the season has turned around quickly as the Jets have strung together four straight victories and five out of their last six. This is a hockey club that has some talent on it but the Jets are only going to go as far as Ondrej Pavelec takes them. Winnipeg was able to pull out a 5-4 win over the San Jose Sharks during the streak but that's not something that's going to happen that frequently for this club that struggles to score goals consistently. Friday night the Jets rallied against the Philadelphia Flyers with a late third period goal from Dustin Byfuglien to even the score at 2-2 before Pavelec led them to a 3-2 victory in the shootout. Sunday night's tilt is another tough test for the Jets because a team like the Minnesota Wild might be one of those clubs that the Jets are competing with at the end of the season for a playoff spot. It's still tough to imagine that either one of these hockey clubs facing off on Sunday have what it takes to be a playoff team in the Western Conference but meetings against one another become that much bigger if they want to get to that point. Minnesota is just trying to ensure that they don't have another second half collapse after a great start to the season like they encountered last year during the lockout. The Wild are off to a 12-4-4 start but the biggest key for them is being a dominant team on home ice. The WIld keep finding ways to win at the Xcel Energy Center and that's something that can elevate them into a post season spot if they can keep it up for the rest of the season. Minnesota has won five straight games on home ice this month and the Wild are coming off a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers on Friday night. Zach Parise and Jason Pominville gave the Wild a 2-0 first period lead and Charlie Coyle's goal in the third period broke a 2-2 tie after the Panthers had rallied to tie it. Josh Harding faced just 24 shots on the night and stopped 22 of them to lift the Wild to the win. The Wild will get a test from a Winnipeg club that comes into this game playing with a lot of confidence on Sunday night.
