The St. Louis Blues and the Washington Capitals meet in NHL action from the Capital One Arena on Tuesday night.

The St. Louis Blues come into this game on the heels of their 5-4 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets last time out. Jordan Binnington’s seen the bulk of St. Louis’ action in goal, going 13-12-4 with a 3.11 GAA and an .902 save percentage while Ville Husso is 15-5-4 with a 2.34 GAA and a .926 save percentage this season.

The Washington Capitals will look to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars in their last game. Tom Wilson has 42 points with 18 goals and 24 assists and John Carlson’s got 52 points with 11 goals and 41 apples. Ilya Samsonov has gone 18-9-4 with a 2.95 GAA and a .900 save percentage for the Caps while Vitek Vanecek is 16-8-5 with a 2.38 GAA and a .918 save percentage.

I get the case to be made for both sides here as the Blues are one of my favorite teams to back, but the Capitals are playing the far better hockey right now. St. Louis will get theirs, and it’s hard to pass up the Blues at plus money, but I have to back the Capitals on their home ice here.
