TV:

After a packed schedule of NHL hockey yesterday, we’re getting right back to it this afternoon with 11 more games headed our way. Before we get settled in and wait for those pucks to drop, let’s take a closer look at some of the news-making players out there on the ice and see what everyone’s up to this morning. Here’s the latest.

Brad Marchand, LW, Boston Bruins: Marchand got things rolling in the right direction against the Rangers yesterday. He notched the opening goal in a 3-2 victory, also adding an assist. It was Marchand’s first score in the last six games. Zdeno Chara also contributed heavily, with the game-winning goal and an assist of his own.
The Bruins will get another home game today against the Blue Jackets, then they’ll get a few days off before picking back up in Montreal Thursday.

Chris Kunitz, LW, Pittsburgh Penguins: Kunitz had quite a day against the Lightning. He managed a pair of goals in the 3-0 road shutout, which gives him 13 scores on the year to go along with 13 assists. Net-minder Marc-Andre Fleury also played well, notching 21 saves.
The Penguins will be back in action in another road game against the Panthers today. They’ll finish off their trip on Tuesday against the Islanders in New York.

Darren Helm, C, Detroit Red Wings: Detroit’s record against the Islanders hadn’t been that good before last night. They’d been on an 0-6-1 losing streak in the teams’ last seven games, but they bucked that trend finally. Helm posted a pair of goals in the 5-0 win, and he now has six scores in his last seven games. Daniel Alfredsson also pitched in with a pair of goals and an assist.
The Red Wings will try to keep the good vibes flowing tomorrow in Ottawa. After that it’s back home to face the Flyers on Wednesday.

Brent Burns, RW, San Jose Sharks: Burns will remember last night’s game against the Blues for a long time to come. He notched his first career hat trick in the 6-3 win, also bagging an assist in the process. Burns has seven scores and five helpers in his last nine outings. Logan Couture also posted three assists of his own, and rookie sensation Tomas Hertl scored his 13th goal.
The Sharks will host the Ducks today, then they’ll get ready for next week’s road trip. That one starts Tuesday in Toronto.

NHL Daily Schedule: A heavy set of games is headed our way today, with the action kicking off this afternoon. Here’s a look at the full schedule, as well as the start times and TV networks where you can find the games.
