TV:

Last night was a pretty busy one in the NHL, with nine matchups on the evening slate. Tonight, things will slow down a bit, with only a half-dozen teams out on the ice. That said, there’s still plenty to talk about this morning, so let’s take a look around the league at some of the news-making players out there right now. Here’s the latest.

Logan Couture, C, San Jose Sharks: The Sharks kept their season rolling yesterday, notching a win over the Maple Leafs for their sixth straight. Couture bagged an insurance goal late in the game, giving him 10 scores on the year to go along with 18 assists through 27 appearances. He has nine helpers and three goals through his last 11 outings.
The Sharks’ road trip will continue through this weekend, with games in Pittsburgh (Thursday), Carolina (Friday) and Minnesota (Sunday).

Sergei Bobrovsky, G, Columbus Blue Jackets: If you’re into low-scoring, defense-heavy matchups, this was the game for you. Nick Foligno netted a nice-looking goal to give the Jackets a 1-0 victory over Tampa Bay, but the big story here was the injury to Bobrovsky. He went down with a lower-body injury after a big save in the third. He’ll get an MRI today and hopefully we’ll find out more after that.
The good news for Columbus is that they’ve got a pretty thin schedule coming up. They play Friday against the visiting Wild and then go to Pittsburgh Monday.

Antoine Roussel, LW, Dallas Stars: Roussel has been intermittently peppering in the points this season, and he tallied a very important goal against the defending champion Blackhawks last night. The score came on a penalty shot in the third to give the Stars a 4-3 road victory. Roussel now has five goals and five assists on the year.
The stars will be in Toronto tomorrow, then they’ll finish out the week with a home game against the Flyers on Saturday.

Mike Ribeiro, C, Phoenix Coyotes: In a pretty solid overall effort from the Coyotes, Ribeiro emerged as the big hero of the game. He was a factor on half the team’s scores, posting a goal and two assists in the 6-2 victory over the Oilers. In his last nine outings, Ribeiro has tallied three goals and seven helpers.
Let’s look at the Coyotes’ upcoming schedule. They’ll continue their road trip tonight in Calgary, then head to Vancouver on Friday. After that it’s off to Colorado on Tuesday.

NHL Daily Schedule: There are a couple of good matchups mixed into the fray in this evening’s three-game set. Here’s a look at the complete schedule, along with the start times and TV networks that are carrying tonight’s games.
