The San Jose Sharks look to improve on an already impressive home ice record on Saturday night when the Dallas Stars visit the SAP Center.
The Dallas Stars have began to pick up the pace as of late, winning 3 of its last 4 riding the red hot Tyler Seguin. Despite missing some time with an injury, Seguin leads the Stars with 35 points on the season and 8 points in his last four contests. Dallas has shown the ability to score in bunches this season, with the latest rendition coming against Vancouver on Thursday when the Stars scored two goals in under a minute to put the game out of reach.

San Jose was dealt a big blow with the news that rookie sensation Thomas Hertl could miss a month with a knee injury sustained against he Pacific Division rival Los Angeles Kings. However, the Sharks roster can hurt you from top to bottom – literally any line is capable of scoring. San Jose has been mediocre recently, going 2-5-1 over its last eight games, but the Sharks have not lost at the tank since November 7th, going 6-0-1 during that period.
Dallas defeated the Sharks earlier this year at American Airlines Center, and the team has played well overall against the Pacific Division, but I think the Sharks exact revenge for the earlier meeting and get back on track with a home win tonight. The line is much too large to offer any value, and I’m hesitant to play the puck line with a struggling team that is playing a hungry opponent like Dallas. So, I lean to the over here. I expect San Jose to come out firing and Seguin’s Stars to continue the offensive success.
