The Line: Los Angeles Kings -137 / Boston Bruins +124 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds

The Boston Bruins head to Los Angeles on Thursday night and try to rebound from their loss in Anaheim against the Ducks the other night. Boston was absolutely dominant during the opening 20 minutes of Tuesday night's contest but it didn't reflect on the scoreboard. Boston outshot Anaheim 16-3 during the first period but they were unable to solve Jonas Hiller at any point and the game ultimately turned from there. Anaheim rebounded after the intermission and made the Bruins pay for taking two straight penalties, converting each time to take a 2-0 lead. Daniel Paille's seventh goal of the season in the final minute of the period gave the Bruins some life heading into the third period trailing 3-1 but it didn't do enough to lift the Bruins into the third. Dougie Hamilton's fourth goal of the season cut the deficit to one but the Ducks regained their two goal advantage and sealed it late in the 5-2 win. Tuukka Rask stopped just 15 of the 20 shots he faced in the game as his record fell to 21-10-2 on the year. Now they head to the Staples Center where the return of Jonathan Quick to the lineup wasn't enough to get Los Angeles two points the other night against Minnesota. Quick wasn't tested much but he finished the night with 16 saves in the 2-1 shootout loss to the Wild. Jarret Stoll broke a scoreless tie with his sixth goal of the season just 50 seconds into the third period but Quick was unable to keep the clean sheet and the lack of offensed ended up costing the Kings. It wasn't for lack of trying because the Kings fired 17 first period shots on goal and ended up outshooting the Wild 40-17 in the game. Make that six losses in their last seven games and in a highly competitive Pacific Division and Western Conference this is a streak that has to end now for Los Angeles. With the Vancouver Canucks continuing to gain ground in the division the Kings could find themselves slipping down the standings if they don't clean up their act and find a way to start putting the puck in the net. Luckily this hockey club has a pedigree and despite lack of goal scoring in the fast they've proven that they can survive that as long as they make it to the playoffs. Los Angeles had one of the great runs in post season history as an eight seed that nobody thought could score enough to get it done in the playoffs. This is a great test for both these hockey clubs on Thursday night and with the way both clubs are playing right now I'm going to take the team that's getting some value in this one.
