The Line: Tampa Bay Lightning -147 / Ottawa Senators +134 --- Over/Under: 5.5 See the Latest Odds

The Senators look for their eighth win in their last 10 contests as they continue their road trip in Tampa Bay against the Lightning.

The Pesky Sens have returned as the game’s Cinderella team over the last couple of seasons is starting to play like the club many had predicted to be a playoff force this season and are 7-1-2 in their last 10 contests. Ottawa is coming off a very impressive 2-0 victory over the Alex Ovechkin-less Capitals on Tuesday night but a road victory at this juncture of the season is pivotal and to do so against a high powered offense on the road adds some further praise to the feat and the Sens will look to build on that tonight. They head into Tampa Bay to take on the Lightning who have been this season’s version of last year’s Senators as they are thriving under their circumstances and have well exceeded expectations despite losing their bets player to injury. Craig Anderson gets the call in goal for the Sens as he goes up against former Senators goalie Ben Bishop who counters for the Bolts.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Ottawa Senators - 1/23/14

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Tampa Bay continues to play very solid hockey as they are just two points behind the Bruins for top spot in the competitive Atlantic division and with Steven Stamkos due back after the Olympic break the Bolts have just a couple weeks left to weather the storm before getting their leader back. Despite losing Stamkos the Lightning have continued to play very well and against the Senators tonight who are chasing them in the standings Tampa knows they need to play their best in order to slow Ottawa’s runaway momentum down. Ben Bishop has been a huge part of the team’s success this season and he gets the call here against his former team who cast him aside last year before he ended up in Tampa Bay you can expect he will want to play very well in this one. Both teams are playing great at the moment and both have strong offenses but I think the goaltedning will be the focal point here and with Anderson and Bishop going I think this one stays under the number. I have a play in the premium area on who I think will win so check it out there for today's best NHL bet.
