The Atlantic meets the Pacific when the Montreal Canadiens welcome the Calgary Flames to the Bell Centre.
Calgary has begun to click and whether it continues on the road is the question. The Flames out lasted Minnesota 4-3 in overtime Saturday to sweep a five contest homestand. Mikael Backlund tallied the game winner among his two goals with Dennis Wideman and TJ Galiardi also scored with the latter posting an assist as well. The victory might have been costly with goalie Karri Ramo leaving with a first period injury with Reto Berra recording 14 stops as he was pressed in to action. Matt Cooke, Dany Heatly and Keith Ballard scored for the Wild with Darcy Kuemper getting the loss with 28 saves.

Montreal might have been in the wrong place at the wrong time in 2-1 defeat at the hands of visiting Winnipeg. Even though this game was on their home ice the Jets made it wrong with their hot play that has posted wins in four of five. The Habs lone source of offense came off the stick of Brian Gionta on an assist from Tomas Plekanec at 17:06 of the second period. Tobias Enstrom gave the Jets a 1-0 lead in the middle frame with Michael Frolik netting the game winner 64 ticks in to the final stanza off a behind the net pass from Andrew Ladd that caught Carey Price off guard. Price stopped 31 shots but was out dueled by Al Montoya who recorded 30 saves.
Interesting match up with Montreal a decent size favorite over a team that is playing well. That is the Flames were hot at home but on the road is a different animal although for now I'll back the better odds and update later once goalies are confirmed...
