The Ottawa Senators take the ice with the Boston Bruns at TD Banknorth Garden on Saturday.
It took nearly 60 minutes of hockey before Ottawa and Buffalo decided their differences and the Senators were the team with smiles as they owned a 3-2 victory when Milan Michalek scored with a mere 22 ticks remaining in regulation. Michalek scored another third period goal with Erik Karlsson lighting the lamp in the second. Craig Anderson stood tall between the pipes with a 30 save perfomance to out duel Jhonas Enroth who recorded 33 stops in defeat. Tyler Ennis and Drew Stafford scored for the visitors wo dropped number four in a row while Ottawa has won back to back contests.

A late Boston rally went for naught as St Louis picked a 3-2 overtime victory on Thursday. With the Bruins trailing 2-0 heading to the third, David Krejci and Brad Marchand scored to force the extra session. The visitors played without captain Zdeno Chara who was in Russia for the opening ceremony for the Olmpics. Tuukka Rask took the loss with 24 saves as Boston saw a modest two game winning streak end. The Blues got the game winner from TJ Oshie at the 3:29 mark of the extra session with Alexander Steen and Jaden Schwartz also finding the back of the net with Schwartz adding an assist. Jaroslav Halak picked up a hard earned with 36 saves.
With the Olympic break on the horizon I would caution anybody to wager on any team that will be missing a significant piece. Chara fits that description so beware. I will update with any changes before game time.
