The Columbus Blue Jackets travel to the Prudential Center to face the New Jersey Devils Thursday.
Metropolitan rivals Columbus and New Jersey begin the post Olympic postseason push at the Prudential Center with both teams rested and raring to go following the Olympic break. The Blue Jackets currently own fourth and the Devils seventh in the division as they meet for the last time with the CBJ owning a 3-0 record versus their rivals with New Jersey looking to avoid the season sweep.
The hope for the Devils is they find a way to get the rubber behinf opposing goalies with two weeks to work out their scoring woes.

The last time these teams met was right after Christmas with Columbus skating away with a 2-1 shootout victory with Artem Anisimov scoring a first period goal before Adam Henrique knotted it with a third period tally. A scoreless overtime followed with Cam Atkinson scoring the only goal of the shootout. Martin Brodeur was steady between the pipes with 29 saves in the loss while Curtis NcElhinney picked up the victory with 16 stops with Jaromir Jagr, Ryane Clowe and Patrik Elias unable to get the puck by him in the extra session.
Columbus is 1-4 in their last five trips to New Jersey while the under is 4-1-1 in the last six there. Overall the under is 6-2-1 in the past nine head to head match ups. No goalies have been confirmed and the line hasn't been released so please check back later but based on past history I will be looking hard at the total...
