The Buffalo Sabres and the Dallas Stars meet in NHL action from the American Airlines Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Buffalo Sabres will look to rebound from a 5-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues last time out. Tage Thompson leads the Sabres in scoring with 39 points including 20 goals while Rasmus Dahlin also has 34 points with a team-high 26 assists and Jeff Skinner has 36 points with a team-high 20 goals. Kyle Okposo also has 28 points with 12 goals and 16 apples this season. Dustin Tokarski’s gone 5-8-4 with a 3.34 GAA and an .899 save percentage in goal for Buffalo while Ukko-Pekka Luokkonen is 2-5-2 with a 2.74 GAA and a .917 save percentage and Aaron Dell is 1-8-1 with a 4.03 GAA and an .893 save percentage.

The Dallas Stars will look to bounce back after a 2-1 shootout defeat at the hands of Nashville in their last game. Joe Pavelski leads the Stars in scoring with 54 points including 21 goals and 33 assists while Jason Robertson has 47 points with 22 goals and 25 assists and Roope Hintz has 43 points with a team-high 22 goals of his own. Miro Heiskanen also has 28 points with 24 assists. Braden Holtby’s posted a 9-10-1 record with a 2.78 GAA and a .912 save percentage while Jake Oettinger is 16-6-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .921 save percentage this season.

Buffalo is 1-5 in their last 6 Sunday games and 0-4 in their last 4 games against the Western Conference while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games as an underdog. Dallas is 5-1 in their last 6 games against the Eastern Conference while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against the Atlantic division.

I get the case to be made for both sides in this one, and I’m going to side with the over here. Buffalo’s had issues in terms of keeping the puck out of their net, but they were able to go blow for blow with the St. Louis Blues in their last game and the Stars, while a decent team (especially at home) are not worthy of this kind of price, even against Buffalo. I’ll side with the over and maybe lean towards Buffalo +1.5 to keep this a one goal game.
