The Philadelphia Flyers and Toronto Maple Leafs will meet up Saturday night at the Air Canada Centre. This is the second of three scheduled meetings this season, as the Maple Leafs won the first meeting back in October, 3-1.

The Flyers have won seven of their last eight games and are doing so with a heavy dose of offense. They’ve scored four or more goals in three straight games, and Claude Giroux has been a big part of that success, as he’s produced two goals and an assist in each of his last two games. Goaltending wise, goalie Steve Mason could be a little better, as he’s allowed four goals in three of his last four starts. The Flyers are 15-13-1-4 on the road this season.

The Maple Leafs have lost three of their last four games, but are coming off an overtime victory over the New York Rangers. During their little shaky run, they’ve had somewhat of a hard time scoring goals, but they’re also not getting any consistency from their goalie, either. Johnathan Bernier has allowed three of more goals in five of his last eight starts. Offensively, the Maple Leafs haven’t scored a power play goal in seven games. However, if their luck is going to turn around, you’d think it would happen at home, a place where they are 21-11-0-1 on the season.

The price we’re getting the Flyers at is simply too good to pass up. They are 6-1 in their last seven games that have taken place in Toronto, and they’re also 4-1 in their last five matchups being played on two days’ rest.

Sure, the Maple Leafs have won seven of their last eight home games, but they’re been very inconsistent as of late and are giving up goals in bunches.

The Flyers could use this win to jump up in the standings, and I think they get it.
