The Nashville Predators look to down the Buffalo Sabres at the First Niagara Center Tuesday.
Nashville squandered a three goal lead before finally beating Ottawa 4-3 in overtime on Monday night. The Predators appeared to be in cruise control with a three goal second before the Senators responded with three goals in the final stanza. Craig Smith, Nick Spalling and Eric Nystrom tallied to give the visitors a 3-0 lead before Jared Cowen, Mark Methot and Jason Spezza scored for the Senators. Seth Jones scored the game winner with 1:11 left in OT with Pekka Rinne getting the win with 29 stops while Craig Anderson recorded 29 saves before leaving with an injury.

Buffalo might not be close to sniffing a spot in the postseason but that doesn't mean they are an automatic win for opponents as Chicago learned on Sunday. The Blackhawks had their hands full with the Sabres before an early third period tally gave the visitors a 2-1 victory. Patrick Kane scored in the first for the Blackhawks with Jonathan Toews notching the winner just over 1:30 in to the third to make Corey Crawford's 20 stops a winning number. Drew Stafford also scored in the opening frame for Buffalo but that was all she wrote as the Sabres three game winning streak ended with 29 saves from Jhonas Enroth not enough.
The road team is 4-0 in the last four meetings while the over has gone 4-1 in the last five at Buffalo. Still waiting for goalies but you have to be intrigued by the Sabres since the Olympic break so I'll look deeper in to it...
