The Bruins look to keep their winning streak intact on home ice Thursday night as they take on the visiting Phoenix Coyotes.
The Coyotes look for their third straight victory on Thursday when they head to the TD Garden to take on the Bruins and with a win they can move into the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Phoenix is picking the right time to turn up their game as the regular season is drawing near a close and with momentum being gained with each passing night the Desert Dogs have a great chance at slipping into one of the wild card spots and who knows what damage they can do from there. Phoenix isn’t the most talented team in the league but they do have some game breakers and are a very scrappy bunch that show up every single night and give their opponents fits. The Coyotes will look to catch the Bruins off guard as the home side played in Montreal last night and skated away with a massive victory that has all but sealed their fate as Atlantic division champions.

The Bruins left the Bell Centre last night not only with two huge points but have to be feeling very confident that they will claim the newly formed Atlantic division title as they sit 13 points up on second place Toronto. Boston has been the class of the division since the puck dropped in October and while their divisional goals have been met you can be sure they’d love to catch the Penguins for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Boston has won six games in a row heading into Thursday night’s encounter and with their home record being what it is at 25-7-2 on the year is isn’t a stretch seeing them as this heavy a favourite against a Coyotes team barely scraping by. However, of the two teams the visitors are the more desperate club and are better rested as they had last night off while the B’s had considerable success against Montreal it is still a physical, draining 60 minutes. I like the value on Phoenix here as Boston’s winning ways have to come to an end soon and what better way than in a back to back after a divisional game on the road against your hated rivals. Take Phoenix for a light play.
