The Dallas Stars head to the Wells Fargo Center to face the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
Dropping a home and home series to hated rival Philadelphia put Pittsburgh in a bad mood and they took out their frustration by blasting visiting Dallas 5-1 on Tuesday. With the Penguins leading 1-0 on Sidney Crosby's tally at the 4:17 mark in the first, the Stars Trevor Daley lit the lamp but it was all downhill from there with Kari Lehtonen allowing all five scores on 32 shots. Crosby scored twice for the Pens with Lee Stempniak, Brandon Sutter and Chris Kunitz also scoring to support Jeff Zatkoff who recorded 32 stops.

Philadelphia edged visiting Chicago 3-2 in overtime to give them three staight victories and wins in four of six overall. Claude Giroux tallied with less then five ticks remaining in the extra session to avoid a shootout and send the Wells Fargo crowd in to a wild celebration. Scott Hartnell posted a pair of goals in the opening frame and Ray Emery settled down after a shaky start to make 23 saves to pick up the win. Andrew Shaw and Duncan Keith beat Emery in the first but the Blackhawks were stoned the rest of the way in what looked like a 6-5 type game with the score 2-2 after 20 minutes. Antti Raanta saw plenty of rubber in defeat with a 34 stop perfomance in absorbing the loss.
Dallas is 1-6 in the last seven trips to Philadelphia with the under going 4-1 in the last five overall. The trend I'm looking at is the Flyers have won three in a row and the Stars have dropped three straight. Lean to Philly pending goalies...
