The streaking Boston Bruins head to the Pepsi Center to take the ice with the Colorado Avalanche Friday.
Boston played well at both ends of the ice and were rewarded with a 4-2 decision over New Jersey on Tuesday. The white hot Bruins have now won ten in a row while the Devils fell for the third straight time. Patrice Bergeron gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the first before Patrik Elias evened things less then 30 ticks in to the second with NJ on a 5-3 power play. Brad Marchand and Jarome Iginla responded with goals less then a minute apart before Chris Kelly and Travis Zajac traded third period tallies to end the scoring. Martin Brodeur stopped 27 shots in defeat while Chad Johnson stopped 22 to get the win.

Colorado never tasted the lead in falling at Winnipeg 5-4 in overtime Wednesday and missed out on picking up two points on St Louis who lost at Chicago. Not much defense was played by either team with four first period tallies the start of what was to come. Blake Wheeler won it in the extra session while Andrew Ladd added a pair of goals with Evander Kane and Eric Tangradi also finding the back of the net to Make a winner of Al Montoya who stopped 23 shots. The Avs received goals from Gabriel Landeskog, Nick Holden, Ryan O'Reilly and Cody McLeod while Reto Berra absorbed the defeat with 22 saves.
These teams don't face one another enough to make the trends hold value to me and I'm looking at the Bruins ten game winning streak anyway. All good things come to an end and Colorado is very good so I'll look at this closer while waiting for goalies...
