Surging Philadelphia scored early and late to upend Dallas 4-2 for their seventh win in nine contests. Wayne Simmons paced the Flyers attack with a pair of tallies with Michael Raffl and Mark Streit also finding the back of the to make Steve Mason's 33 saves a winning performance. Jamie Benn was the lone source of offense for the visitors with single goals in the second and third periods with Tyler Sequin posting assists on each. Tim Thomas recorded 25 saves in defeat as Dallas dropped number four in a row and return home following an 0-3 road swing.
Ottawa is 0-4 in the last four meetings and 1-4 in the past five trips to Dallas while the over is 6-1 in the last seven at Dallas.
