The white hot Boston Bruins put their winning streak on the line against the Montreal Canadiens Monday night.
Montreal and Toronto are in a heated battle for positioning in the Atlantic Division so the Canadiens 4-3 win at the Maple Leafs Saturday was huge as their lead over fourth place Toronto grew to five points. Tomas Plekanec tallied the game winner in the third with Rene Bourque, Max Pacioretty and Brian Gionta also scoring to make a winner of Carey Price who stopped 33 shots to give the Habs their fourth win in five contests. The Maple Leafs received goals from Tyler Bozak, Nazem Kadri and Joffrey Lupul with James Reimer abscorbing the loss with 32 saves.

A three goal outburst in the third erased a one goal deficit to lead streaking Boston to a 4-2 victory at Phoenix for win number 12 in a row. The Bruins had alread secured a spot in the postseason but didn't let up with strong performances at both ends of the ice. Jerome Iginla tallied twice with Shawn Thornton and Patrice Bergeron also lighting the lamp to make Tuukka Rask and his 30 saves a winner. The Coyotes received goals from Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Shane Doan but that wasn't enough to extend their three game winning streak as Mike Smith was charged with three goals on 27 shots.
The road team is 5-1 in the last six and Montreal is 5-1 in the last six meetings which says the Habs have a shot. I'm not sure this is the time to get off the Bruins until they lose but I'll wait on the goalies and see what the juice will be...
