The New Jersey Devils take the ice with the Phoenix Coyotes at the Prudential Center Thursday.
The Consol Energy Center hasn't been an easy place to win for the opposition but not impossible as Phoenix proved in a 3-2 victory on Tuesday. The Coyotes received first period goals from Antoine Vermette and David Moss with Mikkel Boedker netting the winner with just under seven minutes left in the middle frame. The victory went to Thomas Greiss who recorded 23 stops for the Coyotes who have won six of nine. Taylor Pratt and Jussi Jokinen tallied in the first for the Penguins with Marc-Andre Fluery posting 26 saves for Pitt who have dropped five of seven.

New Jersey is in a desperate chase to track down Toronto for the second Wild Card and took a step in the right direction in a 3-2 decision over the Leafs Sunday to move witin five points of the visitors who have lost five in a row. Tyler Bozak and Phil Kessel lit the lamp for the Maple Leafs while Jame Reimer was charged with all three goals on ten shots before getting yanked in favor of Drew MacIntyre who finished with 14 saves. The Devils saw Jon Merrill, Patrik Ellias and Damien Brunner each find the back of the net to support the 21 save performance of Cory Schneider.
These teams don't face each other enough to make the trends worth much with Phoenix winning a January tilt 3-2 at home in January. Looks like a tough one so I'll dig in to it while waiting for confirmation of goalies...
