The San Jose Sharks welcome the Winnipeg Jets to town for late night NHL action on Thursday.
Dallas knocked off visiting Winnipeg 2-1 in a defensive struggle on Monday night to give the team back to back victories. The power play was key for the Stars with both tallies coming with the man advantage. Ray Whitney gave the home team a 1-0 lead 5 1/2 minutes in while Tyler Seguin found the back of the net with under four minutes remaining in the second for the eventual game winner. Kari Lehtonen picked up the win with a 32 save performance with Bryan Little spoiling the shutout with a PP tally with under 2 1/2 minutes remaining in regulation. Al Montoya posted 25 saves in the loss for the Jets who have dropped three of four.

It took San Jose a period to get their offens going but once they did it was lights out in their 5-2 rout of Edmonton on the road on Tuesday. The Oilers led 1-0 just over four minutes in to the first on David Perron's goal with Taylor Hall adding a third period tally but it was all Sharks otherwise with Joe Pavelski recording a hat trick for the third time this season with Marty Havlat and Patrick Marleau adding goals to make a winner of Antti Niemi and his 28 saves. Ben Scrivens allowed all five goals while facing 34 shots but three came on San Jose power plays. The win gave the Pacific leading Sharks a four point bulge over Anaheim.
