The New York Islanders welcome the New Jersey Devils to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
A new Jersey comeback from a 2-0 deficit went for naught as visiting Phoenix prevailed 3-2 in a shootout on Thursday. Mikkel Boedker won it for the Coyotes with the lone shootout tally with Chris Summers and Kyle Chipchura scoring in regulation while Thomas Greiss picked up the win with 26 stops. The Yotes have now won back to back contests who remain a major player for the second Wild Card. Ryan Clowe and Adam Henrique led the Devils attack with Martin Brodeur recording 25 stops as New Jersey picked up a point to close to within four points of the Wild Card.

The Islanders lost a 2-1 second period lead and then lost the game in a 3-2 shootout defeat at Tampa Bay on Thursday. It took 13 rounds before Sami Salo ended it and made a winner of Ben Bishop and his 25 saves which prevented a three game skid. Ryan Callahan score twice in regulation to move to within two points of second place Montreal in the Atlantic Division. Ryan Strome and Matt Donovan found the back of the net for the Islanders with Evgeni Nabokov recorded 29 saves for New York who are 4-3 in their last seven contests which is a solid mark for a team that has generally struggled.
The road team is 4-0 in the last four match ups while New Jersey is 5-1 in the past six trips to New York while the under is 20-8-2 in the last 30 meetings in New York. Pending goalies I lean Devils but I'm undecided right now...
