The Winnipeg Jets and the MTS Centre play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Thursday night action.
A win on home ice versus visiting Carolina Tuesday seemed to be a good bet as the Penguins don't lose often at the Consol Energy Center. Somebody forgot to tell the Hurricanes who owned both ends of the ice with a 4-1 win. Chris Kunitz was the Pens offense with a first period tally but Marc-Andre Fleury struggled with four pucks getting by him on 28 shots and denied the Penguins the Metropolitan title for another day. Elias Lindholm lit the lamp twice for the Canes with Justin Faulk and Eric Staal also adding goals to make a winner of Anton Khudobin and his 30 save performance.

Phoenix saw their postseason drive sidetracked following a 2-1 shootout defeat to visiting Winnipeg on Tuesday. Andrew Ladd paced the Jets offense with a goal in the opening period and scored the only goal in the SO as the struggling Jets nustered just their 4th win in 15 contests. Ondrej Pavelec was strong between the pipes with 29 stops as Winnipeg defeated the Coyotes for the 4th time in a row. Zbynek Michalik found the back of the net for thehome team with Thomas Greiss posting 21 stops in the loss that dropped the Coyotes in to a tie with Dallas for the second Wild Card with the end of the regular season fast approaching.
The home team is 5-1 in the past six meetings with Pittsburgh going 39-13 in the last 52 head to heads while the under has gone 8-3-1 in the last 12 in Winnipeg. Waiting for goalies but lean Penguins at this price although they are not 100%...
