The Anaheim Ducks and Vancouver Canucks will play for the fifth and final time this season on Monday. The Ducks have beaten the Canucks in all four meetings this season.
Although the Ducks are already sitting pretty in playoff position, they still have a shot of catching the St. Louis Blues for the top seed in the Western Conference. However, the Ducks aren’t helping themselves by losing two straight and splitting their last 10 games. The Ducks are coming off a Sunday 4-2 road loss to the Edmonton Oilers and have lost three of their last five road games. Goalie Jonas Hiller has allowed four goals apiece in his last two starts. The Anaheim Ducks are 23-11-1-3 on the road.

The Canucks have won four of their last seven games and lost three of their last four. Goalie Eddie Lack has allowed three or more goals in three of his last four starts. The problem is the Canucks have had serious issues putting the puck in the net, as they’ve scored two or less goals in four straight games. David Booth has two goals, one assist and three points in his last five games. The Canucks are 19-13-2-4 at home this season.
The Ducks are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 0 days rest and 26-9 in their last 35 vs. a team with a losing record. The Canucks are 8-20 in their last 28 games playing on 1 days rest and 12-26 in their last 38 overall. The Ducks are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Vancouver and 5-0 in the last 5 meetings.
The Canucks haven't beaten the Ducks once this season and there's no reason to think that's going to change on Monday. The Ducks are playing for a possible No. 1 seed, and the Canucks have had major offensive issues and are already focused on next season. I'll gladly take Anaheim at the cheap price.
