The Los Angeles Kings look to stave off elimination when they visit the San Jose Sharks for game five.
Los Angeles avoided getting swept by San Jose with a 6-3 victory on home ice Thursday and now trail 3-1 in the series. The question is whether the Kings can carry over the momentum of this win in to Saturday in a series where the Sharks offense has set the tone with 20 goals through four games. The LAK used some offense of their own with the score 2-2 in the second by outscoring the visitors 4-1 to extend this offense first series to a game five.

Justin Williams and Marian Gaborik paced the Kings with a pair of tallies each with Tyler Toffoli also scoring while Dustin Brown added an empty netter with under 1 1/2 minutes left to finish off the scoring. Jonathan Quick has seen his fair share of rubber in this series, made 36 stops in the win. Matt Nieto, Joe Pavelski and James Sheppard lit the lamp for San Jose but Antti Niemi was charged with five goals on 26 shots and was given the hook in the third with Alex Stalock finishing up.
If you enjoy end to end action with plenty of scoring then this is a series to watch. Having said that I am still surprised by the rate the puck is finding the back of the net which has heavily favored San Jose. The line isn't out but I ask myself what is going to change Saturday where we see less scoring and I can't answer that so I lean over for now...
