The Philadelphia Flyers shoot for control of their series with a road win versus the Rangers in game five.
The Flyers knocked off the Rangers at the Wells Fargo Center by a 2-1 count to knot their series 2-2 as they head back to New York Sunday. There has been plenty of talk about how the Rangers have dominated this match up but that hasn't be the case in this series as Philadelphia has responded with wins with their backs against the wall and the NYR in position to put them behind the eight ball.

Steve Mason was the story in game four with a huge 37 save performance with 16 coming in the opening frame. The Rangers actually drew first blood on Dominic Moore's tally but the Flyers netminder was a brick wall thereafter in winning his first ever postseason game in his first start in five years. Jakub Voracek and Matt Read gave Mason all the offense he needed to out duel Henrik Lundqvist who recorded 23 stops in the defeat.
This was Mason's first start since April 12th when he sustained an upper body injury against Pittsburgh. He will likely get the call once again in game five with Ray Emery struggling and getting the hook in game number three after allowing four goals. The key for Philadelphia is to avoid falling behind at Madison Square Garden which continues to happen while also making Lundqvist work. Of course the key for the Rangers is to do what they have been doing and that's score early and then make it stand up. My early lean is New York but no line yet so I have time to think on it and will post a pick well before game time so please check back...
