The Chicago Blackhawks look to end their series with the St Louis Blues in game six at the United Center.
Chicago took a 3-2 series lead with a 3-2 overtime decision at St. Louis in game number five. This has been a tight series throughout with four games being decided in OT as the series heads back to the United Center for game number six at the United Center. The Blues were once in command of this series 2-0 with a pair of overtime decisions in overtime but Chicago has stolen back the momentum and the home ice advantage with three consecutive wins.

Jonathan Toews was the hero in the extra session with a breakaway tally that just beat Ryan Miller inside the right post at the 7:36 mark. Marian Hossa and Ben Smith each knocked home rebounds to supply the Chicago offense in regulation to support the 27 save performance of Corey Crawford. Alex Pietrangelo and TJ Oshie found the back of the net for the Blues who received 27 stops from Miller. The Blackhawks never trailed with 1-0 and 2-1 leads in a back and forth contest that featured great saves by each netminder.
I believe the team that gets the early lead will be the winner and if that team is Chicago my gut tells me they won't give it up. The Blues were a frontrunner for the Presidents Trophy in the closing weeks but suddenly went in to a season ending slide. I don't think trends are as significant in the playoffs opposed to the regular season but St Louis is 6-20 in the last 26 visits to Chicago so I lean to the Blackhawks here pending a line so please check back...
