The Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers take the ice in game seven at Madison Square Garden.
A desperate Philadelphia put forth their best performance of their series with the Rangers in a 5-2 decision in game six. The series now goes a deciding game seven on Wednesday in a rare back to back situation. The Flyers scored first and never stopped as they built a 4-0 lead heading to the third before coasting to the finish line.

Wayne Simmons was the offensive star with his first ever hat trick while Claude Giroux and Erik Gustafsson also found the back of the net. Although the the scoring burst was front page news the performance between the pipes from Steve Mason was nothing short of phenominal. Mason stopped 34 shots with several being of the spectacular variety. Carl Hagelin and Mats Zuccarello provided the Rangers scoring but Henrik Lundqvist suffered through a rare off game. Lundqvist allowed four goals on 19 shots and was replaced by Cam Talbot for the third.
Everything came up roses for Philadelphia in game six as they were aggresive at both ends of the ice. New York seemed a bit slow and had the fight taken to them while looking flustered at times. The key for the Flyers is bringing this intensity and execution to game number seven at MSG where they are 1-10 in the last eleven visits. This seems straight forward to me; a lesser effort then Tuesday's and Philadelphia will be watching the rest of the postseason because the Rangers and Lundqvist will be an angry bunch. I'm leaning home team while I wait for a line...
