The Chicago Blackhawks look for a 2-0 series lead versus the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.
The Blackhawks and Wild carried momentum in to game number one of their series at the United Center but it was Chicago that carried Big Mo with them after 60 minutes with their 5-2 win on Friday night. On paper Chicago had the better scoring and defense and that's how things played out in the opener. The home team lead 2-0 heading in to the final frame before breaking things open with three goals to push aside a Minnesota rally that had knotted the score 2-2 seven minutes in to the third.
Patrick Kane tallied twice and Bryan Bickell added an empty netter for goal number two to break the tie while Marian Hossa also joined the scoring column in the second. Corey Crawford was strong between the pipes to pick up the win with a 30 save performance. Minnesota received goals from Kyle Brodziak and Clayton Stoner but Ilya Bryzgalov couldn't hold the fort with four goals given up on 21 shots.

Chicago looked shaky when the Wild tied the score but kept their composure while the loss of Darcy Kuemper in the nets was a big factor in the third for the visitors. As a Philadelphia fan I have seen Bryzgalov enough to say the injury to Kuemper is a huge loss. As for game two we know Minnesota doesn't want to fall in to an 0-2 hole but I think the key match up will once again be the offensive firepower of the Blackhawks versus whoever is in the nets for the Wild. I lean home team although I'm waiting to see which goalie will be on the ice Sunday but will have a pick well before game time...
