The Line: Pittsburgh Penguins -162 / New York Rangers +147 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds

The Rangers look to complete an epic come back on Tuesday night as they look for their third straight victory after forcing a deciding game seven on Sunday.

The New York Rangers are a game away from advancing to the Eastern Conference finals after looking dead in the water less than a week ago but after back to back victories they are on even terms and could very well pull off the upset with another victory here. The Blue Shirts have focused their energy around the emotional story of forward Martin St. Louis who lost his mother earlier this week and not only has the team rallied around their heartbroken star he himself notched the first goal of the game in Sunday’s 3-1 victory. The Rangers know they face an uphill task though as it is very difficult to beat the same team three games in row and even more so when the opposition is as strong as Pittsburgh’s despite their lackluster effort over the last two. Henrik Lundqvist has been a rock as usual for the Rangers and he will look to be sharp once again as a series this close could come down to goaltending and with both he and Marc-Andre Fleury at the tops of their game you have to give the nod to the King.

New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins - 5/13/14

The Penguins have their backs to the wall after holding a commanding 3-1 series lead heading back home for game five and now have to play in a deciding game seven with no room for error and their season and Cup hopes on the line. Pittsburgh struggled in the early going in their series with the Blue Jackets but rebounded nicely and carried that swagger into their series with New York but it looks like they are regressing at the moment and have allowed their counterparts to fight their way back in. The Penguins have been visibly frustrated over the last two contests and captain Sidney Crosby has been at the centre of all of it as he got into a scuffle with a couple of players including Brian Boyle. The Penguins do have home ice advantage here but they need to cool their jets and play the game that led them to the Metropolitan division title and that isn’t what we have seen from them in the last two. However, I think we see a refocused bunch here who will be energized and will have made the necessary adjustments to New York’s game plan and I see this being a victory for the home side.
