The Chicago Blackhawks and Los Angeles Kings will play game seven of the Western Conference finals on Sunday night. The winner plays the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup Finals.
The Kings blew a second chance to clinch a spot in the finals by losing, 4-3, on Friday despite having a lead in the third period. The Kings are now 2-8 in the playoffs when allowing three or more goals. While goalie Jonathan Quick has been solid all season long, he’s allowed nine goals in his last two games. Offensively, Drew Doughty has three goals and four assists in this series, while Jeff Carter has had a point in every game of this series except for the game six loss. The Los Angeles Kings are 6-5 on the road in the playoffs and 29-18-1-4 on the road this season overall.

The Blackhawks are one win away from returning back to the finals for the second straight season. With the win, the Blackhawks are 8-3 in the playoffs when scoring at least three goals. Patrick Kane not only scored the game winner for the Blackhawks, but he’s racked up two goals and six assists in his last three games. However, heading into the game seven, Corey Crawford will have to be on his A-game, as he’s allowed 20 goals in the last five games of this series. Jonathan Toews has an assist in three straight games. The Chicago Blackhawks are 8-1 at home in the playoffs and 35-8-2-5 at home overall.
The Blackhawks are 9-2 in their last 11 games playing on 1 days rest and 11-5 in their last 16 overall. The home team is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings, while the Kings are 1-7 in the last 8 meetings in Chicago.
I'm not sure how you pick against the Blackhawks at home. They've been the better team in the last two matchups and they know what it takes to win a pressure game like this. Unless Henrik Lundqvist is in goal for LA, take Chicago to win this game at the fairly decent price.
