The Line: Los Angeles Kings / New York Rangers --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings will square off in game one of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals on Wednesday.
The Rangers haven’t had to play in almost a week since eliminating the Montreal Canadiens in six games. The Rangers have been red hot as of late, winning seven of their last nine games and it all starts with terrific goaltending. Goalie Henrik Lundqvist has allowed two or less goals in 11 of his last 14 starts. Of course, the Rangers are 12-2 when allowing less than three goals in the playoffs. Offensively, Martin St. Louis leads the Rangers with seven goals, while St. Louis, Derek Stephen and Ryan McDonagh are tied with 13 points. The New York Rangers are 31-18-1-1 on the road this season.

The Kings have survived three game sevens to make it to this point and just came out of a physical overtime win over the Chicago Blackhawks. Jonathan Quick is considered one of the game’s best goalies, but he’s allowed four or more goals in three straight games. In fact, he’s allowed 59 goals in 21 playoff games. The Kings will need a better Quick in order to win the Stanley Cup. Offensively, Marian Gaborik leads the way with 12 goals and Anze Kopitar has the most points with 24. The Los Angeles Kings are 28-17-3-2 at home this season.
The Rangers are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 3 or more days rest and 4-1 in their last 5 road games. The Kings are 5-0 in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference and 8-3 in their last 11 games playing on 2 days rest.
I can't turn down plus money with the Rangers considering they're coming off a nearly week's rest, while the Kings are beat up and tired. This is the perfect chance for the Rangers to steal a game.
