The Line: New York Rangers / Los Angeles Kings --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The Los Angeles Kings could sweep the New York Rangers to win the Stanley Cup with a win on Wednesday night.

Unlike the first two games, the Kings jumped out to an early lead in game three and never looked back, winning 3-0. Goalie Jonathan Quick had his best performance of the playoffs by saving all 32 shots he faced, which was just the third time in eight games he’s allowed less than three goals. The Kings are now 14-5 in the playoffs when scoring three or more goals. Justin Williams has a goal and five assists in the first three games of this series, while Jeff Carter scored his first goal of the Final in the game three win. The Kings could win their second Stanley Cup in three years with this win, and they’re 31-18-1-4 on the road this season.

Los Angeles Kings at New York Rangers Stanley Cup Final Prediction, Odds, Pick - 6/11/14 Game Four

The Rangers had several good shots in game three, but couldn’t get anything past Quick. Another frustrating loss for the Rangers, they now drop to 0-9 in the playoffs when allowing three or more goals. Some of the blame has to be put on goalie Henrik Lundqvist, who has allowed three or more goals in four of his last five games. However, the Rangers have scored two or less goals in three of their last four games and are getting little production from their stars. Martin St. Louis has just two goals and two points in his last five games, while Rick Nash has just three playoff goals. The New York Rangers are 26-21-3-2 on their home ice.

The Kings are 4-0 in their last 4 overall and  8-3 in their last 11 road games. The Rangers are 1-4 in their last 5 overall and 5-2 in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest. The Kings are 5-2 in the last 7 meetings in New York and 4-0 in the last 4 meetings overall.

I was confident in the Rangers in game three, but they looked absolutely flat and appeared to have given up. I probably should learn my lesson and finally pick the Kings to win, but I just can’t do it. The Rangers are a better team that what they showed in game three and they’ll do anything to avoid getting eliminated on their home ice.

If the Rangers have any pride, they’ll at least win this game.
